HAWKS MEN DROP BEHIND FURTHER DESPITE OUTSTANDING DAY

CHILLIWACK, BC: The Humber Hawks men's golf team performed admirably on Day 2 at the 2018 Golf Canada University/College Golf Championships, recording an under par team score of 285, thirteen strokes better than Tuesday's result.

Humber moved up from their tenth place standing to a tie for seventh, but actually dropped further behind the top three teams in the event. The Hawks trail the leaders from Fraser Valley by 28 strokes and are 10 of the podium.

Individually, two Hawks stay within striking distance of the podium. Michael Vance and Conner Watt check in at -1, and sit in a tie for 15th place. Their score of 143 is just six strokes back of the leader, with two rounds to play.

Of note, Cameron Griffin responded with an impressive performance, shaving 10 strokes of his first round score.
