Grant headlines award winners for No. 1 Men's Basketball

ETOBICOKE – Top-ranked Humber men's basketball once again garnered numerous league accolades when the conference announced its yearly awards, which are determined by a poll of the OCAA coaches.

Named the OCAA Player of the Year, Malik Grant's ability to secure possessions on both ends of the court is a key factor in Humber's success. Playing all 18 regular season games, Grant averaged a team-high 16.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game and maintained an excellent assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.1. Grant became just the third player in program history to be named the player of the year, and the 16th to garner a CCAA All-Canadian selection.

For the third time in four seasons, Coach Miles was named the OCAA Coach of the Year after leading the Hawks to an 18-0 record for the first time while earning the top defensive team in the division.

Isaiah Brady-Clarke was named the West Division Sixth Man of the Year. A second-year point guard, Brady-Clarke has provided consistent energy and all-around contributions off the bench, averaging 9.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in just 17.2 minutes of play.

Senior Jalen Menzies was named a second team all-star, while Dwayne Burke was named to the all-rookie team.
