The Storyline
Humber curling will be heading to Portage la Prairie, Manitoba for the 2020 CCAA Curling National Championships, March 11 to 15.

Last Year
The men's curling team captured the CCAA silver medal, winning a national medal for the second time in program history. Benjamin Hughes and Brady Lumley were named first team all-stars.

Ending the Drought?
Led by OCAA MVP Kaitlyn Jones, the Humber women's team will be looking to win the first national championship in program history. The Hawks made the finals in 2014 and 2015, winning the CCAA silver medal.

National Champion
In 2016, Zack Shurtleff and the Hawks defeated Sault College to capture the program's first national title.

At the Helm
In his second season as head coach, Sean Turriff has led the curling to a CCAA silver medal and three OCAA Championships. Last year he coached Team McDonald to an 11-0 record at the Ontario Tankard, earning a berth to the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier.

Clancy Grandy joined the coaching staff this season and is a Humber alumna. In 2016 she was the Grand Slam of Curling Masters event Champion with Team Flaxey and competed in the 2018 Canadian Olympic Pre-Trials. As a coach, Clancy has a broad range of international experience as an assistant coach with the Dutch Men's national team since 2018.
