HAWKS WOMEN

Marcia Coelho
Maxine Cotton
Danielle Dupuis
Katelyn Morgan
Patricia Rothenburg
Kaitlin Shuvera

The women have been the most dominant force in OCAA cross country over the past eleven years, winning gold seven times, including the last three titles. This year they have been consistently been challenged and outdistanced by the squad from Fanshawe, as they have finished in second place in all four events as a team. The gap is not huge, but the hawks will need great efforts from the six runners representing them in this event. Kaitlyn Shuvera continues to be the ace on the team, and will look to return to the individual podium after grabbing silver last season. This is the first time that Humber will feature all top six running in the same race, with everyone healthy and ready to go.

HAWKS MEN

Shawn Acrey
Simon Wells
Graiden Maynard
Zak Nixon
Aaron Veenstra
Jake Thomson

The men have had quite a run over the past six years, winning gold once and silver five times. Based on pre-season tournament results, the challenge that lays ahead is trying to obtain a podium spot. Fanshawe has dominated all events and looks like a lock for gold. Humber, and a number of other teams have ping-ponged back and forth from second through fourth. With the return of top runner Shawn Acrey, the Hawks will be challenging once again for a top three team spot. The supporting crew must bring their personal best out on Saturday afternoon to guarantee another medal and a trip to nationals.
