BARRIE, ON: The Humber Hawks are just a step away from a shot at OCAA gold, but that step is a big one, as they not only play the East Division champion Georgian Grizzlies, they will pay them in the den of the bear.
The Hawks and the Grizzlies will meet at 8:00 pm at the Georgian College Athletic Centre. If last night was any indication, the house will be rocking with local supporters of the home team.
Humber advanced by way of a four-set win over the Conestoga Condors, while the Georgian club knocked off the Niagara Knights in straight sets.
The two teams met once this year in exhibition play at the Humber Cup in October. In Humber's third match of the day, Georgian came back to win a five-set marathon. As well, it was Georgian that knocked Humber out of gold medal contention in the opening round of the OCAA championships last year in Hamilton.
