HAWKS SOAR ON OPENING NIGHT AT HOME WITH 3-0 WIN
The Humber Hawks men's volleyball team had their home opener against the Redeemer Royals on Thursday and clutched the 3-0 win
The Hawks dictated the offense during the entire match and utilized the middle well. The Hawks primary middle, Jordan darlington, had big blocks and a few big hits that helped the Hawks take the first set 25-14.
During the second set passing was a large component to the Hawks success against the Royals as they were able to use all aspects of their offense. They had a few serving runs as well, and Redeemer responded, but too late. The final score was 25-21.
During the final set the game was very back and forth for both teams. There were big blocks and defense from both sides. The Hawks had a decent lead, but made a few mistakes, allowing Redeemer to catch up and get back into the game.
The Hawks regained focus and took the third set 25-20.
The men's team will play Conestoga this Wednesday.
