Matthew Bremer named 2023 Humber Male Athlete of the Year
ETOBICOKE - Men's golf, one of Humber's most distinguished programs, returned to national prominence this season, and Matthew Bremer was a big reason why. The Toronto native, the only Hawk with national experience, led the inexperienced squad, capturing the individual gold medal after shooting four-over-par on the four-day event.
Bremer, who has consistently improved over his career at Humber, opened the tournament with a one-over-par 71, and with harsh weather conditions on moving day, the big lefty moved up three spots and never looked back. With a two-stroke lead, Bremer shot one-under-par to win the individual crown by five strokes and became Humber's first individual champion since 2011.
