2023 Humber Athletics Varsity Awards

ETOBICOKE – The Humber Department of Athletics held its 36th annual awards banquet on April 6, honouring the accomplishments of its student-athletes from the 2022-23 season. 

The Hawks captured eight CCAA national titles and 13 OCAA gold medals, while ten players were named CCAA All-Canadians, and two were selected as the OCAA Player of the Year. A CCAA record 23 Humber student-athletes were also recognized as Academic All-Canadians.

Awarded to an athlete for Athletic Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to the Humber Athletic Program.  Each of these athletes excelled this season and was amongst the best players in the province in their sport.

Hawk Heart Award

Awarded to an athlete for perseverance and/or resiliency through adversity, and these three athletes demonstrated resiliency to achieve great success for their teams:

Humber Leadership Award

Awarded to an athlete who exemplifies leadership qualities throughout the year in all aspects of varsity (locker room, classroom, HPC, VAC, wearing the H).  These three athletes have shown over their time to lead in many ways, sometimes quietly, but always letting their game speak.
