Airi Moromisato named 2023 Humber Female Athlete of the Year

ETOBICOKE - Airi Moromisato dominated on the courts for Humber badminton for the second straight season. After running the table as a rookie, the native of Peru continued that trend, this time in the women's doubles discipline.

Paired with partner Victoria Duong, the duo went the distance at provincials, finishing with a 5-0 record, capturing the program's sixth straight women's doubles gold medal. The partners did not drop a set and beat their opponents by an average score of 21-5.

At nationals in Nova Scotia, the duo once again went undefeated, winning the gold medal – this time with a 7-0 record.

Moromisato became the third player in program history to capture a national title in the mixed and women's doubles discipline.
