WOMEN TAKE UNDEFEATED MARK ON THE ROAD TO KITCHENER

KITCHENER, ON: The Hawks are set to take on the Conestoga Condors in Kitchener on Wednesday evening for their third match of the season.

While it is still early, the Condors are winless in all three of their matches. Humber on the other hand has been tested early on but holds a 2-0 record.

The Hawks are still led by reigning OCAA Player of the Year Thalia Hanniman and her stats that place her as the second-highest for 4.9 points per set and with 1.25 service aces per set.

The Hawks are also backed by a strong core of veterans in middle Alley Newman and power hitter Kelsey Kovar. Despite Hanniman putting away most of Humber's points, Newman and Kovar have combined for 31 points and lead the team in blocks with three and four respectively.

Conestoga also packs a defensive punch that the Hawks need to keep in mind. The Condors have racked up an incredible 150 digs thanks to prime positioning from libero Brieanne Gallant's 48 digs in addition to three other players with at least ten digs.

The match starts at 6 p.m.
