
HAWKS STRUGGLE OUT OF THE GATE ON FIRST DAY AT NATIONALS
CHILLIWACK, B.C. -- The Humber women's golf team were unable to find any tempo on the opening day at the Golf Canada University/College National Championships, and ended the day tenth out of the twelve competing teams.
The Hawks ended the day with a team score of 249, 28 strokes off the lead and 23 away from a podium spot.
Sheila McKeen was top on the Hawks with a plus 8 – 80, which placed her in a tie for 24th. Sonia Nagindas checked in with a mark of 84, and a placement of tie for 35th. Jordan Newlands dropped to a tie for 38th with score of 86. The team will take to the course later on Thursday, as they drew the afternoon tee-off times.
