HAWKS WOMEN LEAD BY FIVE HEADING INTO FINAL DAY

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON: The Humber Hawks women's golf team, who led by three strokes after Day 1, have extended their lead heading into the third and final round on Wednesday. But, how they got there is the story thus far.

The second place and defending National Champion Georgian Grizzlies, actually outdueled the Hawks early on Day 2, erasing the Hawks lead and assuming a three stroke lead of their own. The Hawk threesome persevered and ultimately came back and after the dust cleared gained two more on the Barrie squad.

Humber was once again led by Sheila McKeen. She tied for best round of the day with a 76 and now sits just a single stroke out of the lead. Jordan Newlands was solid once again, shooting a 78 and occupies the third place spot.

The final round is set for Wednesday at the Crimson Ridge Golf Club in Sault St. Marie.
