No. 1 Humber men's volleyball will return for its 40th season. It will open the OCAA schedule on October 18 against Boreal at the Sports Centre Gymnasium in Sudbury. First serve is set for 8 p.m.

2023-2024 Highlights
  • In a rematch of the 2023 OCAA gold medal game, Humber Men's Volleyball captured the top spot in Ontario for the fourth consecutive year, after beating Fanshawe (3-2).

  • The Hawks have four-peated for the first time in the program's history.

  • The navy and gold increased to 16 consecutive wins in the OCAA postseason, giving them a 69-25 all-time playoff record.

  • Marcus Morgan led the Hawks in scoring in the postseason with 62 points.

At the Helm

Capturing the 2012 CCAA National Championship and helping build the Hawks into one of the province's premier men's volleyball powers, Wilkins has compiled a career record of 422-137, winning over 75 percent of his matches. He leads all active OCAA men's volleyball head coaches in wins.

The longest-tenured coach in Humber's history, Wilkins has twice been named the CCAA Coach of the Year (2005, 2020) and received three OCAA Coach of the Year (2002, 2005, 2020) nods.

Assistant coach Hank Ma (25th Season) and Mack Robertson (10th Season) return to the sidelines for Coach Wilkins' staff. Chris Bowen will make his debut as an assistant coach for the Hawks.

Chasing History

The Hawks are seeking their fifth consecutive OCAA title and 11th in their history. The record for consecutive tournament titles is still held by the Sheridan Bruins, who won six straight titles from the 1988-89 to 1993-94 seasons.

  • Justin Holland, Middle, Burlington, First Year
  • Nathan Jager. Outside, Oakville, Fourth Year - played two seasons for the Brock Badgers (2018-20) before competing for the Sheridan Bruins last season where he recorded 85 points.
