HAWKS FALL JUST SHORT OF THE CCAA NATIONAL PODIUM

CAMROSE, ALBERTA: After advancing to the four-team playoff, the Hawks were unable to find a spot on the podium as they dropped both the semi-final and then the bronze medal game.

The semi-final against the Fanshawe Falcons started well for the Hawks, as the teams were deadlocked at two, after three ends. It was the fourth end that the wheels fell off. Humber was unable to close a lane in the fourth and the Falcons grabbed a game changing three. This was followed by a steal of two, and the game was all but over. The final score was 13-5, pushing Humber to the bronze medal game.

The Hawks were unable to bounce back, as they dropped the bronze medal game 10-3 to the Red Deer Kings. The loss was similar to the earlier game in the day, with Red Deer scoring multiple points along the way.

Tyler Osborne was honoured with a selection to the tournament all-star team, as the All-Star Lead.
