HAWKS MIXED CURLING DOMINATE COMPETITION ON WAY TO GOLD

HAWKS MIXED CURLING DOMINATE COMPETITION ON WAY TO GOLD

SEMI FINAL

Humber 10 vs Fanshawe 3 (7 ends)

The Hawks avenged their only loss in round robin play, by dominating the match from the start to the hand shake after seven ends. Humber was firing on all cylinders, getting contributions from every player on the squad. Once again, Skip Michael Morra was outstanding, and rightfully so, made the shot for four in the seventh to end the match.

GOLD MEDAL FINAL

Humber 6 vs Sault 2 (7 ends)

Humber gave up steals on a single point in the two first ends, but then focused and flew to victory. The Hawks continuously put pressure on the home town Cougars, and scored in six consecutive ends. The seventh end, where the Hawks had the Cougars extend their hand to congratulate Humber on its win, was a three pointer. The amazing thing about the win, is that the Hawks were just as dangerous with or without hammer.
