HAWKS MEN WIN OCAA TITLE TO COMPLETE HUMBER SWEEP

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON: The Humber Hawks men's cross country team finished things off in fine fashion at the 2015 OCAA Women's and Men's Cross Country Championships host by Sault College on Saturday afternoon. Humber, the defending CCAA National Champions, won the team title for the first time since the 2006-07 season. This sweep sealing win, with the women winning earlier, knocked the Fanshawe Falcons off the perch they held for six consecutive years

The most unique thing about the men winning – as with the women, was that not a single Hawk runner made the individual podium. This "team-first" is something special and not found in many sports that recognizes solo performances.

The placement of the Humber runners, not only the top counting four, but the entire team took potential spots away from the competition. Humber scored 42 points, while second place Fanshawe had a mark of 52.
