The Storyline
The defending provincial champions will host the Seneca Sting (1-0, 1st Central) Wednesday evening for the 2021 home opener. The match will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Hawks made quick work of George Brown on Friday night, defeating the Huskies 6-0. Marcos Nunes made a brilliant return for Humber, recording a hat trick in 55 minutes of action. Rookie Ezequiel Carrasco made five saves to record his first career clean sheet.
Scouting Seneca
- The re-vamped Sting under head coach Patrice Gheisar will be Humber's biggest competition this season in the central division.
- In their season opener, the Sting throttled the Sault Cougars, 14-0. Adam Waithe and Daylin Martin both recorded hat tricks in the victory.
- Former Humber players Riley Ferrazzo (2018) and Zac Zitoli (2019) are competing for Seneca this season.
- Seneca sits third all-time with eight provincial titles, five behind Humber's provincial-best 13 championships.
- The Hawks are 4-1-2 (.714) all-time at home against Seneca. Humber currently owns a seven-match win streak against Seneca, dating back to the 2009 season.

Legend Watch
After his hat trick on Friday, Marcos Nunes tied Michael Aigbokie for the second-most goals in program history with 37 career tallies. The Brampton native now sits six goals away from tying Humber Hall of Famer Jesse Calabro for the most all-time with 43 goals.
First Impressions
After Friday's win at George Brown, a few new players left their marks on the game.
- Division II transfer Abdul Babawale was all over the pitch for the Hawks, recording three assists in the win. The Nigerian native demonstrated blazing speed and terrific field vision.
- Keeper Ezequiel Carrasco was impressive between the posts, continuing Humber's long lineage of top keepers.
- Keegan Wilson moved from forward to defence, making an immediate impact on Humber's backline.
- Exosse Kadiebue subbed in late for the Hawks, displaying great body control and hustle. His hard work led to a penalty kick, which he converted for his first career tally.

In the first installment of the CCAA national rankings, the Hawks are the No. 2 ranked program in the CCAA.

Humber will have a week off before hosting George Brown at the Ontario Soccer Centre on Sept. 29. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
