HAWKS ADVANCE TO OCAA GOLD MEDAL GAME SATURDAY

ANCASTER, ON: The Humber Hawks, by way of their 4-0 OCAA Semi Final win over the George Brown Huskies on Friday evening, have advanced to the gold medal game on Saturday afternoon. The game will be a rematch of last year's OCAA title game, with the Hawks facing the Algonquin Thunder. Last year it was the Hawks that took the OCAA crown.

Both Humber and Algonquin have also punched their ticket to the CCAA National in Fort MacMurray, Alberta.  OCAA teams have won four consecutive CCAA titles, with Humber winning four of them.

Humber, as they have done all season long, scored early. OCAA Player of the Year Marcos Nunes opened the scoring just 10 minutes in to give the Hawks a lead that they would not surrender. Patrick Majcher scored in the 33rd minute to extend the lead to 2-0, and it stayed that way at the half.

Majcher scored again, this time at the 51st minute to push the Hawks up 3-0. Freshman Gianlucas Scorzafave finished the scoring with a marker at the 65th minute.

Karman Singh continued to shine in the net for the Hawks, and was credited with the shutout and win.

Majcher, the scoring hero on the day, was selected as the Humber Player of the Game.
