Back-to-back national titles for Men's Golf
QUEBEC CITY – For the first time since 2012, Humber men's golf successfully defended its national title, capturing the 2023 CCAA gold medal – the 12th in program history. The Hawks once again beat André-Laurendeau for the title, while the host Champlain St. Lawrence finished third.
Humber opened the tournament with a historic round, as all five golfers finished under par for the first time in program history. Led by Matthew Bremer's 68, the Hawks fired a record 11-under-par on day one and jumped out to a 12-stroke lead.
The Hawks cruised over the next two rounds before André-Laurendeau clawed back on day four. The Boomerangs trimmed seven strokes off their deficit, but it was not enough to take the title from the defending champions.
All five players finished in the top 11 in scoring, and for head coach Nick Trichilo, it was his second title with the men's team. Bremer, Matt Morris, Trey Ross, and Ryan Holwell were named All-Canadians.
