No. 1 Humber men's golf is heading to Windsor, looking to capture the 23rd OCAA team gold medal in program history.

Last Year

In a two-way battle from the opening tee-off, Humber men's golf captured the OCAA silver medal Wednesday afternoon at the Legends of Niagara – Battlefield. The Hawks battled Fanshawe over the three-day event, falling to the Falcons by five strokes.

Trailing by one stroke heading into the final day, the Hawks put together their best round of the tournament. Daniel TalmageMatthew Bremer, and Ryan Holwell combined to shoot five-under-par, as the Hawks finished at 285 – its lowest round at provincials since 2011.

Unfortunately for Humber, Fanshawe continued its hot ball striking and finished seven-under-par for the day, earning its first team title since 1992.

Daniel Talmage's three-under-par 69 helped the Toronto native move up the leaderboard, finishing third to earn the OCAA individual bronze medal. Trey Ross finished in fourth, while Matthew Bremer finished in fifth. The trio was named to the OCAA All-Tournament team.

Best of the best

Since 1996, the Humber men's golf team has captured 18 team and 13 individual titles. Humber's last individual title came in 2017.

Red Hot

Through three tournaments to begin the year, the men's golf squad has finished at the top of the podium in each event. Brock transfer Matt Morris has finished in the top four in all three events - including a win at the St. Clair Invitational at Ambassador Golf Club.
