No. 7 HAWKS BEGIN FOUR-GAME ROAD TRIP TO END SEASON

HAMILTON, Ont. -- Saturday afternoon begins the start of a four-game road trip for the no. 7 Humber Hawks (9-3, 3rd West) as they wrap up the 2016-17 OCAA regular season.  The trip begins with a matchup against the Mohawk Mountaineers (4-7, 6th West).

LAST TIME OUT vs MOHAWK

As they wrapped up the fall semester, the Hawks defeated the Mountaineers 95-77 in a rematch of the 2016 OCAA Championship.  Second-year forward C.J. Bennett scored a career-high 24 points for Humber in the win, while the Hawks defence was able to hold all-star Lamar Barr to a season-low two field goals made.

  • The Hawks will be looking for their second series sweep of Mohawk in the last three seasons.

SCOUTING MOHAWK

  • After winning four of their first six games, the Mountaineers have lost five straight.
  • In a 128-109 loss to Niagara, both teams combined to tie an OCAA record for most points in a single game by two teams.  In the fourth quarter, both teams scored 83 combined points.
  • Lamar Barr is currently ranked 11th in the OCAA in scoring, averaging 16.2 points-per-game.
  • When playing in Hamilton, the Hawks are 21-11 all-time, dating back to the 1978-79 season. 
  • All-time, Humber is 47-18 against Mohawk during the regular season.

HAWKS HISTORY

Eduful and Dickson are now the second pair of teammates to play together with 750-plus career points, joining Hall of Famer George McNeil and Henry Frazer who accomplished the feat 30 years ago.
