EDUFUL FUELS HAWKS COMEBACK RUN AS HAWKS WIN 74-64

LONDON, ON: The Humber Hawks (9-2, 2nd West) ran their unbeaten streak to eight games in a row by way of a late comeback 74-64 win over the Fanshawe Falcons (5-6, 4th West)

Just as with the women's game that was played earlier, both teams struggled offensively out of the gate, as the first quarter ended in a 13-13 tie.

The scoring increased in the second quarter, but just marginally, and the Hawks took a 31-30 lead into the dressing room at halftime.

The third quarter saw a bit of a ping pong affair. Humber flew out to a solid lead, then the Falcons drew to within two points. But, at the end, Humber went on a run of their own and led 53-47.

It took a mammoth effort by Hawk veteran Gibson Eduful in the fourth quarter. Humber looked in control, leading by six most of the way, but with less than two minutes to go it was the home town Falcons that came back to grab the lead 62-60.

Humber then went on a 13-0 run, and cruised to the 10 point win.

Trevon Mollison's 19 points led four Hawks that hit for double figures on the night. C.J. Bennett (14), Gibson Eduful (13) and Ancil Martin (10) were the other Humber players with solid offensive nights.

Of note, Mollison's points included 3 of 6 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 4 for 4 at the line.

Humber will now entertain the Niagara Knights on Wednesday night at home.
