Raval and Wu receive conference top offers

TORONTO - Dhruvkumar Raval and Sherry Wu of Humber Polytechnic are the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Badminton Players of the Year.

Raval (India), a second-year student-athlete, finished in first or second place at almost all the OCAA invitational tournaments this past season, playing both singles and doubles. Raval is the reigning OCAA silver medalist in men's doubles, showcasing tremendous sportsmanship on and off the court.

Wu (Ottawa), a first-year student-athlete, has had an exceptional debut on the OCAA circuit, having only lost one match all season. Wu was a triple crown winner at both the Humber and Centennial College tournaments and a double winner at Conestoga College. Wu is a constant motivator and a good influence on teammates.

Since 2010, Humber badminton has received 15 OCAA Player of the Year selections.

All-Stars will be determined following the OCAA Badminton Championships being hosted by Conestoga from Feb. 14-15.
