HAWK GOLFERS TO HIT THE LINKS IN BARRIE ON WEDNESDAY
BARRIE, ON: The Humber Hawks men's and women's golf teams will be on the course at the Heritage Hills Golf Club in Barrie on Wednesday, honing their game in this pre-season invitational.
Both teams were rained out last Saturday in London, but the men were able to get a round in at the Queens Invitational in Ottawa on Sunday. This will be the first time that the ladies will play together this fall.
The Hawks women won the OCAA Provincial silver medal, and then went on to win the CCAA National championship. They return three golfers from last year's squad, including OCAA Medalist Sheila McKeen and CCAA Medalist Sonia Nagindas.
The men saw their string of nine consecutive OCAA titles come to an end, but they snared the OCAA silver medal as a team.
The Georgian College Invitational is a single round, one day event.
