FENTON, GARRO LEAD HAWKS TO 2018 OCAA INDOOR SOCCER TITLE

ANCASTER, ON: The Humber Hawks put together back-to back solid efforts on their way to their record fifteenth OCAA men's indoor soccer title on Saturday afternoon. Humber defeated UTM 2-1 in the Semi-Final, and then completed the perfect day with a 1-0 Final win over the defending champions from George Brown.

Bradley Fenton was the scoring star, scoring all three Hawk goals on the day. For his efforts he was selected as the championship MVP.

Eugenio Garro, playing in his last post-secondary game of his career, recorded the championship game shutout, and had three clean sheets in the six games played. He was chosen as the Top Keeper in the championship.

Jaimie Scott, who was outstanding game in and game out, was also honoured. He was a championship all-star.

CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL:

Humber 2 vs UTM 1

Bradley Fenton provided the heroics in the semi-final, scoring both goals in the 2-1 win. He pushed Humber out in front in the first half, and then needed to score late in the second half after UTM battled back to draw even.

GOLD MEDAL GAME

Humber 1 vs George Brown 0

Once again it was Bradley Fenton playing the hero. After a scoreless first half, Fenton broke the deadlock midway through the second half. Garro then provided the defence, stopping at least ten shot, holding off a late Huskies rally.
