HAWKS IN PLAYOFF HUNT WITH SWEEP OVER SENECA
NORTH YORK, ON: The Humber Hawks women's softball team, weary after getting off a plane from CCSA Nationals lest than 24 hours earlier, were all business in a sweep of the Seneca Sting.
The Hawks won the first game by a score of 11-0. Myranda Pierson continued her torrid pace on the mound, winning her seventh game of the year.
Humber rolled to a 18-0 win in game 2. Bree Donaldson started and was credited with the shutout win.
With the wins, the Hawks record moves to 12-8 on the season, good enough for a second place tie with Conestoga.
The Hawks will be in a position to cement a playoff spot this weekend at home, but it will be a difficult road. Humber, currently undefeated on home soil, will play two of the best in the St. Clair Saints and Fanshawe Falcons.
