BADMINTON STAR DUONG CAPTURES TOP FRESHMAN HONOURS
Elizabeth checked almost every box available to a first-year student-athlete, teaming with partner Chloe Rowe to win CCAA National and OCAA Provincial gold in women's doubles. Along the way she added a West Division team and women's doubles championship, and an OCAA All-Star selection. She was faced with a number of obstacles that could normally knock a player down. Injury and pressure were her constant companion, especially at the Nationals in Edmonton. With her own perseverance, and the support of her coaches and teammates, she continually fought through the toughest of times to realize claim the biggest prize on the college stage. The future looks bright for this outstanding player, and a trip to defend her title next year is certainly a possibility.
