HAWKS HOST ANNUAL HUMBER CUP BADMINTON TOURNAMENT
ETOBICOKE, ON: Humber Athletics is pleased to host the Annual Humber Cup Badminton Tournament this coming weekend, October13 & 14 at the Humber Athletic Centre.
This event will host the top college badminton players in the province, vying for titles in all five disciplines:
WOMEN'S SINGLES
WOMEN'S DOUBLES
MIXED DOUBLES
MEN'S SINGLES
MEN'S DOUBLES
Unlike the OCAA Championships, players are allowed to compete in multiple events at the Humber Cup. Players will search for the elusive "triple crown" – won if the player can sweep either men's or women's singles, along with the associated doubles and mixed doubles crowns. This has happened in the past, but it is a select few that have achieved this level of success.
Play will start at 1:00 pm and run through Friday evening, and then kick off early Saturday morning and continue until all disciplines are completed.
