#1 HAWKS PLAY FOR KEEPS AS REGIONALS OPEN FRIDAY

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks badminton team, the number one ranked team in the country, will look to continue the incredible success experienced over the last few years as they take to the court on Friday at the University of Toronto – Mississauga in the OCAA West Division Regional Championships.

Gone are three-time national champions Olivia Lei and Adam Dong, and five-time national medalists and Ryan Chow, but returning is 2018 national champion Chloe Rowe. She is joined by the newest Hawk in Crystal Qu. Qu recently turned heads at the St. Clair Open in her debut by winning gold in women's singles and doubles.

The regionals will take place on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4 at the UTM Athletic Centre in Mississauga. Play on Friday begins at 10:00 am, while the first bird flies on Saturday at 9:00 am. Although no formal awards are presented, the players advancing to the OCAA championships (top 2 in each discipline) will be acknowledged at the end of the day Saturday.
