
Cross Country concludes season at CCAA nationals
WINDSOR — In their final race of the season, Humber cross country went to nationals at Malden Park, hosted by St. Clair College. The women's squad finished ninth, while the men's team finished 13th.
Women's Race
Cégep Garneau of Quebec City won their third consecutive National Women's team title, placing four scoring runners in the top 15 finishers. They were led by Individual Gold Medallist Léane Baril, who topped the field of 96 runners in a time of 22:08 across the 6km course. Fellow Quebec City school Cégep de Sainte-Foy took the silver medal while, Mohawk College captured the bronze medal.
Catherine Irwin was the top runner for the Hawks, finishing 13th overall, and was the fourth-fastest runner from the OCAA.

Men's Race
The men's title was dominated by Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Polytechnic with four All-Canadian top-10 finishes led by Nathan Woyessa who cruised to a 24:25 time over the 8km trail. Cégep Garneau captured the team silver medal, while Sainte-Foy won the bronze.
Blaise Uglow finished in 35th place as Humber's top runner, while Liam Bauman finished four seconds behind in 37th.
