HAWKS ON A ROLL AFTER 3-0 WIN OVER BOREAL VIPERS

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks men's volleyball team (7-4, 5th West) took down the Boreal Vipers (0-12, 10th West) in three straight sets (25-18, 25-8, 25-12) Saturday night.
The Hawks took advantage of a struggling Vipers team who haven't won a set all season for the second time this year.
Humber has begun the second half of the season on a high-note after ending first semester on a four-game losing skid. With the win has now won two in a row.
It was the Hawks main starters in Alex Gibbs (Calgary) and Clayton Blanchette (St. Catherines) who helped clinch the quick three set win.
Gibbs finished the game with nine-points (five kills, four aces) for Humber.
Blanchette who is the OCAA scoring leader, finished with a game-high 13-points (12 kills, one ace) for the Hawks.
Collin Skanes was named player of the match.
Along with being on a two–game winning streak, another high note is third-year setter Adam Kinoshita (Brampton), chipped in with eight-points (six kills, one ace, one block) which is a new season-high.
The Hawks will now prepare for their next game, which is Sunday when they take on the Cambrian Golden Shield (1-10, 9th West). Match start is 3:00 p.m.
