
CENTRAL TORONTO ACADEMY CAPTURES FIRST HUMBER CLASSIC TITLE
ETOBICOKE, Ont – The 37th Humber Classic tournament concluded Saturday evening and Central Toronto Academy escaped the 16-team tournament unblemished with a 70-51 win over Vaughan S.S.
Led by Kevin Otoo and his tournament-high 37 points, CTA led Vaughan from start to finish. Ree Compton finished with a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double for CTA, while Nick Kwawukumey recorded a team-high 11 points for Vaughan in the loss.
BRONZE MEDAL GAME
In a triple-overtime thriller, St. John Paul II outlasted St. Edmund Campion to win the bronze medal, 82-80. Taijon Graham scored a team-high 26 points – including 18 in the second-half – for St. John Paul II; while Kobe Elvis, younger brother of Humber Hawk Curwin Elvis, finished with a game-high 30 points for St. Edmund Campion.
