GYMNASIUM "ONLY" CLOSED 10 WEEKS FOR RENOVATIONS

ETOBICOKE, ON: Due to extensive renovations, the gymnasium in the Humber Athletic Centre will be closed for the next ten weeks, with a proposed re-opening date of June 26, 2017.

All other activity areas in the athletic centre will be available for student, staff and community use.

"The gymnasium is almost 40 years old now, and has some structural areas that need to be addressed", said Humber Director of Athletics Ray Chateau. "A facelift, which will include painting, padding, banners and new basketball hoops will make the Humber Athletic Centre brighter and more appealing".

The Humber Athletic Centre, erected in 1978, has gone through major renovations on a few occasions, including a new floor and bleachers in the gym itself. The first renovation was the building of a second floor in 2000, which now houses the weight room and High-Performance Centre. The next was another second-floor area above the old CAPS Pub, and it is the home of the cardio centre and activity rooms.

The staff in Humber Athletics thanks you in advance for your patience in this process.
