
Men’s Golf finish second at Durham Invitational
WHITBY – The three-time defending provincial champion Humber men's golf team opened the 2021 OCAA season with a second-place finish at the Durham Invitational.
Led by second-year golfer Davey Morton, the Hawks carded a 21-over par (309), two strokes behind the Georgian Grizzlies.
Morton finished in second with a three-over par (75), recording a podium finish for the second time in as many seasons. First-year player and Calgary native Iain Smiley competing in his first event for the Hawks finished tied for third at four-over par (76).
Second-year golfer Matthew Bremer finished six-over par (78), while Ryan McAskill rounded out the scoring for Humber finishing at eight-over par (80).
Brian O'Connor also finished six-over par (78), while Cody Sobala finished at 16-over (88).
What's Next?
The Hawks will now head to the 2021 OCAA Championship hosted by Sault College. The three-round tournament will begin on September 19 at Crimson Ridge Golf Course.
