OLIVIA LEI WINS BIG AT BANQUET FOR THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR

BARRIE, Ont -- Humber Hawks superstar Olivia Lei (China) was named the 2016-17 OCAA Female Badminton Player of the Year and All-Canadian.

This is the third consecutive year Lei has received these honours.  The recreation and leisure major is also a two-time women's singles national champion and has never lost in CCAA or OCAA play.

Lei is the eighth All-Canadian in program history and only the third student-athlete to receive this honour.  Hawks Hall of Famer Tracy Wong was named an All-Canadian four times (2010-14), while Renee Yip was named during the 2009-10 season.

Olivia Lei once again enters the conversation to be named CCAA Female Badminton Player of the Year as she looks to win her third consecutive national championship.
