SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont –
The No. 5 Humber men's golf team will play for its 22nd straight OCAA Championship medal this week at the Crimson Ridge Golf Course.  The tournament will consist of three 18-hole rounds.

Last Time Out
The Hawks posted a first-place finish (599, +23) at the NCAA Mercyhurst Invitational earlier in the week.  Leading the group was Luke McLean, who finished in a field of 73 competitors with round scores of 70 and 74 on the par 72 course.  Teammate Conner Watt, who was leading after day one with a round of 68, finished in a tie for fourth.  Mike Vance shot a final round of 73 to finish in a tie for 25th, Sean O'Hara finished tied for 31st, and Cameron Brennan finished tied for 34th.

Scouting Humber
Humber enters the Championship with two tournament wins this year, finishing first at the Georgian and Mercyhurst Invitational.

Last Year
At National Pines Golf Course, the Hawks posted a third-place finish (902, +15) and two-time All-Canadian Christian McCullough claimed an individual silver.  Conner Watt, Michael Vance, Luke McLean, and Cameron Brennan rounded out the top-25.

Scouting the Field
The Niagara Knights, the 2016 champions, return to the tournament without top players Josiah Dixon and Evan Littlefield.

With a silver medal last year, the Georgian Grizzlies return to the Championship after winning the Fanshawe Invitational at FireRock Golf Club.  Josh Lynch was the individual champion of the tournament.

The Course
Crimson Ridge boats a spectacular collection of natural Northern Ontario landscape. Waterfalls, creeks, numerous elevation changes, mature hardwoods and spectacular views and vistas await on this scenic par 72 layout.

This design has been expertly crafted by Kevin Holmes, and it incorporates natural features with generous and playable tree-lined fairways, large, gently-contoured greens and strategically-placed bunkers that create a true but fair test of golf for all ability levels.

Four sets of tees at Crimson Ridge give all players a course that will suit their game, playing from 5,274 yards to a demanding 6,827-yard challenge. This course is a journey through bentgrass tees and greens, and dwarf bluegrass fairways and rough.

What's Next
Humber will east for the CCAA National Championship held at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Oshawa, Ontario from Oct. 17 -20.
