The Storyline
Returning from a three-game road trip, the No. 6 Humber men's basketball team (3-0, 1st West) will take on Sault (0-2, 11th West) Saturday evening, for its 2017 OCAA home opener. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
Last Time Out
Behind a career-high 31 points from C.J. Bennett, Humber rolled by St. Clair (0-1, 9th West) 102-88, Sunday afternoon. It was the third straight 100-point game for the Hawks. Kenny Ejim finished with 20 points, including five triples.
Scouting Sault
The Cougars opened the 2017 OCAA season at home, dropping their weekend doubleheader to the Conestoga Condors (2-2, 3rd West) by a combined four points. Offensively, Sault is led by Donte James and his 18.5 points-per-game.
Last Meeting
Last season, the Hawks came away with an 85-48 win at the Sault, improving to 22-0 all-time against the Cougars. Tyrone Dickson had a game-high 14 points, while 14 players recorded at least two points for the Hawks.
Scouting Humber
After three games, Humber is averaging a league-best 105.3 points-per-game and is currently shooting an impressive 41.7 percent (25-of-60) from long range. On the glass, the Hawks own a 17.0 rebounding margin, the best in the province.
Third-year forward Kenny Ejim is ranked sixth in the association, averaging 22.7 ppg.

When the first CCAA rankings were revealed on Oct. 31, Humber came in at number six, two spots behind the defending provincial champion Sheridan Bruins.

All-time, Humber owns a 271-69 (.797) record at the North Campus Gym.
Last Year
The Hawks concluded its 2016-17 season with a 12-4 record, winning the programs 31st OCAA medal. After a heartbreaking overtime loss to No. 1 Sheridan in the championship semi-final, the Hawks beat the Niagara Knights 82-79 to capture the OCAA bronze medal.

Humber will stay home for a weekend matchup with No. 12 Redeemer (1-0, 4th West) Nov. 11. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
