HAWKS SPLIT FINAL EXHIBITION SERIES WITH BROCK
ST. CATHERINES, Ontario: The groundscrew at Taylor Field in St. Catherines were able prepare the field after rainstorms hit down on Wednesday morning, allowing the Hawks to finish their pre-season with a doubleheader against OUA power Brock University.
The host Badgers came out on top of a very tight affair in game one, winning by a score of 4-3. Humber responded in the second game, taking the much more offensive tilt by a score of 13-9.
The Hawks, playing in their most competitive pre-season schedule to date, finished the exhibition round with a solid record of three wins and four losses.
They will now open regular season play on Friday, September 11, with a doubleheader scheduled against George Brown College. The host Huskies will entertain the Hawks at Wishing Well Park, with the first game sscheduled for 7:00 pm, and followed by game two at 9:00 pm.
The Hawks have their home opener slated for Sunday, September 13 at Connorvale Park, as the seneca Sting will be flying in. Game times are 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
