HAWKS FLY INTO ROGERS CENTRE FOR OUA/OCAA ALL STAR GAME

HAWKS FLY INTO ROGERS CENTRE FOR OUA/OCAA ALL STAR GAME

TORONTO: Three Humber Hawk men's baseball stars will be on field this Saturday at the 2nd Annual OUA/OCAA Men's Baseball All Star game, which is being held at Rogers Centre.

The game will immediately follow the Toronto Blue Jays/Boston Red Sox game on Saturday afternoon. The first pitch is approximate (based on the length of the MLB game), and should be thrown at about 5:30 pm.

This event is free for all who wish to attend. If you are at the Jays game, then exit the building and make your way to Gate 8, and you will be ushered into the game when the stadium has been prepared for this event. All those just wishing to come cheer on your Humber Hawks, please go to Gate 8 at the completion of the Jays game.

Representing the Humber Hawks are three stars in their own right.

Daniel Campos returns to the game for the second year in a row. In the 2013/14 season he won the top batter award, and this season he won his second OCAA All Star award this year.

Sean Matson, a former Canadian Junior National team player, was selected as an All Star in his first season with the Hawks. His fine play defensively, and hitting exploits put him on everyone's ballot this year.

Brian MacDonald led the entire league in home runs and runs batted in this year in the OCAA, a first for any Hawk player in OCAA or CIBA baseball play. He not only played right field, he also closed games on the mound as a relief pitcher.

Head Coach Denny Berni, last year's head coach of the All Star squad, will be on the bench once again to lead the OCAA into battle.

The OUA squeaked out a tight win in the inaugural game last year.

Come out and cheer on the OCAA All Stars and your Humber Hawks!
