About
Scott Skimming is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Humber cross country program in 2024. Skimming was introduced as head coach by athletic director Ray Chateau in September 2020.
Under Skimming's guidance, the Hawks returned to the provincial podium for the first time in five years, capturing the men's team bronze medal in Thunder Bay in 2022. Two years later, the women's squad captured the OCAA silver medal - it's first since 2018.
President and head coach of 310 Running since 2009, Skimming established the top-ranked U16 female endurance program in Canada in 2019 with two athletes ranked in the top-eight nationally in three different events. He also had two athletes ranked in the top three provincially in five different endurance events.
An NCCP Certified Club Coach and In-Training Performance Coach, Skimming himself has quite the athletic resume. He's competed in over 25 marathons – including three Boston Marathons and Ironman Germany.
