HAWKS CAPTURE FIRST EVER CCAA NATIONAL BRONZE MEDAL

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI: For the first time in Humber College women’s volleyball history, the Hawks won a CCAA National Championship medal, a well-earned bronze medal at the 2016 CCAA tournament. Humber defeated the Alberta (ACAC) champion Briercrest Clippers 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 26-24) in what was the most spirited match of the entire week.

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI: The Humber Hawks have participated with and played against Vancouver Island University (VIU) on many occasions, including a number of practices and exhibition games this past holiday break in Hawaii. This familiarity will be put to the test in the CCAA National Women’s Volleyball semi-final game on Friday night at 5:00 pm (EST), when these two teams face each other in a game to be played at Holland College.

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI: The Humber Hawks women’s volleyball team roll into the 2016 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball Championship on Thursday afternoon as the number two seed in the national event. They have been steady in the national rankings at number three all year long, but with an upset in another conference’s provincial championship, they were elevated to the two spot.
