REIGNING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCE ADDITION OF JALEN KING

REIGNING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCE ADDITION OF JALEN KING

Humber's Men's Basketball Team, the reigning National Champions, announced the addition of point guard Jalen King on Wednesday night. The signing bolsters what is already among the country's strongest back-courts, and King joins C.J Bennett as the second top High School recruit to join the blue and gold this summer.

In King, Humber is getting a floor general who led the way at Blessed Mother Teresa. The 6'1" guard prides himself on his defense, and he joins an outfit that was by far Ontario's most dominant on that end of the floor. Along with Gibson Eduful, who averaged over two steals a game, the Hawks on-ball defense figures to be elite once again. King played his club ball with the Scarborough Blues, where he learned the intricacies of the position and became a leader.

The freshmen's decision to attend Humber came down to the programs reputation for success and taking care of their athletes. Isaac King, Jalen's father, was the MVP of the Men's Team as well as an OCAA All-Star in the 98-99 season, while his mother starred for Humber in the late 90's.

With yet another solid addition, what was already among Canada's deepest rosters looks that much stronger today. Training camp gets started in August, and the Program is chomping at the bit to get their bid for a CCAA Championship repeat underway.
