LANGLEY, B.C. – The Humber men's basketball program concluded the 2018-19 season with a come-from-behind win Saturday evening, defeating Montmorency in the CCAA bronze medal game, 84-76.
Second-year guard Jordon Francis finished with a team-high 18 points, including three-of-four from 3-point range. Jaylan Morgan added 15 points, while Curwin Elvis and DeQuon Cascart recorded double-digit scoring as well, finishing with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Playing in its fourth game in three days, Humber jumped out to a five-point lead after ten minutes of play before the Nomades offence went on a run to tie the game at 28 with 5:06 remaining in the half.
Blondeau Tchoukuiegno scored 10 of Montmorency's 24 points in the second quarter, helping the Nomades go into the half leading by five, 40-35.
Montmorency extended its lead to 12 with 3:06 remaining in the third frame before Jordon Francis hit a 3-pointer to help Humber end the quarter on a 13-2 run.
With 8:02 left in the game, Kevin Otoo started a 13-0 run for the Hawks, completing the comeback for Humber.
Jordon Francis was named the player of the game and Jaylan Morgan was named a championship first-team all-star.

- Humber's bronze medal was the 14th medal in program history, tying the Dawson Blues for the most medals in CCAA history.
- Head coach Samson Downey becomes the first coach in program history to capture a CCAA medal in their first season at the helm.
- Humber improves to 4-3 all-time in the CCAA bronze medal game.
- Seniors Curwin Elvis and Jordan Rose finish their careers with three CCAA medals – Gold (2015), Silver (2016), Bronze (2019).
- Jaylan Morgan became the 18th player to be named to the championship all-tournament team.

- The OCAA captured two CCAA medals for the first time since 2002.
- Humber's 24 wins this season was the second most all-time – trailing only the 1991 National Championship team that finished the year with a 27-2 record.
