HAWKS RAKE IN WEEKLY OCAA AWARDS

TORONTO, ON: The Humber Hawks grabbed a number of individual and team weekly awards this past week, as announced by the OCAA. Included in this record breaking haul for the Hawks was four athletes of the week in their individual sports, and a team of the week honour.

INDIVIDUAL

Sonia Nagindas – Women's Golf (pictured on left)
"Sonia led the Hawks to the 2015 CCAA National Championship, with her three rounds all contributing towards the Humber scoring. On the individual side, she captured the Bronze Medal"

Bonnie Gillingham – Women's Softball (pictured in middle)
"Bonnie led the Hawks to a 5-1 week, and elevated her batting average to a league fifth best of .464. She continues to be the glue at the shortstop position for the playoff bound Hawks"

Christina Branch – Women's Rugby (pictured on right)
"Christina was a key contributor in the Hawks 67-0 win over the Sheridan Bruins, contributing two tries for ten points. She is now among the top scorers in the league"

Luca Baldfassare – Men's Soccer
"Luca, a late edition to the Hawks squad, has flourished since his insertion into the line-up. This past Sunday he scored twice in injury time to lead the Hawks to a 3-2 division clinching win over the Sheridan Bruins"

Women's Golf
"The Humber Hawks women's golf team, leaders from Day One on, were crowned the 2015 CCAA Women's Golf National Champions. This is the Hawks women fourth national title, and the first since the 2008-09 season"
