Humber Rugby Announces Open Tryouts for Rugby 7's Squad
ETOBICOKE – The Humber rugby team will host open tryouts for the 2020 rugby 7's squad in January, as indicated on the dates provided below. The Hawks will be competing in rugby 7's during the winter semester and the season schedule is comprised of three tournaments - including the Canadian University Rugby Sevens Championship in March 2020.
All full-time Humber and Guelph-Humber students at all campuses are eligible to participate in the tryouts. If you are interested in playing varsity rugby, please fill out the prospective student-athlete online registration form to provide us with more information about your athletic background.
Due to the fact that the tryouts are progressive in nature, prospective players may or may not be invited to additional tryouts or exhibition games after they have attended the first tryout. It is highly recommended that any players wishing to gain a spot on the squad should make themselves available to attend as many workouts as possible, starting with day one.
Also, come to camp in playing shape, as the tryout process is streamlined with the season beginning very quickly after the opening day of school.
Additional tryouts and exhibition games may be added to the tryout process.
