HAWKS WOMEN MOVE UP TEAM LEADERBOARD AFTER SOLID DAY TWO

CHILLIWACK, BC: The Humber Hawks women's golf team performed much better on Day 2 at the 2018 Golf Canada University/College Golf Championships, recording a team score of 234, 15 strokes better than the opening day on Tuesday.

With the result, the Hawks moved up from tenth to eighth place in the team standings, but still 25 strokes off a podium spot. But in saying that, are only 5 strokes away from breaking into the top 6.

All three Hawks improved on their Day 1 score, led by Jordan Newland's 9 stroke turn-a-round. Sheila McKeen and Sonia Nagindas bettered their marks by three strokes. Mckeen leads the way for Humber with a two-day mark of 157, and sits in a 16th place tie on the individual leaderboard. A podium spot sits just nine strokes away.
