"HAWKS HAVE HEART" SHINES IN HOLIDAY SEASON

"HAWKS HAVE HEART" SHINES IN HOLIDAY SEASON

TORONTO, ON: The Humber Hawks are known for excellence on the court and on the field, but through the "Hawks Have Heart"initiative, they make just as many headlines in the community.

A number of student-athletes, across a number of teams, joined Hawks cross country coach Monique Haan on Thursday at the Daily Bread Food Bank.

One might think the effort on this night was in receiving and packing boxes of food for those in need this holiday season, but their energies were utilized in a different manner. With the aid of staff and students of the Humber Culinary program, the group help prepare and serve food to the tireless volunteers at the food bank. This "helping feed those who help others" unique initiative was much needed and appreciated.
