Bio

Marcelo, beyond being one of the most skilled players in Humber history at his position; can be best defined as a fiery player with extreme leadership skills. His mindset was to win championships, not one, but many. He accomplished this, snaring three OCAA outdoor and three indoor championships.

The ultimate goal was reached in his last season as he led the Hawks to the CCAA national crown. On the field, he took over games, unyielding to any attack coming his way. He garnered high accolades, including CCAA All-Canadian and OCAA Championship MVP nods, but the award that best defined him was his 2011-12 OCAA Defensive Player of the Year selection. It may be said too often, but this is true about Marcelo – he is the player you hate to play against but love to have on your team.
