BASKETBALL SCHEDULES RELEASED FOR HAWKS 2015/16 SEASON

2015/16 schedules have been released for the Humber Hawks Men's and Women's Basketball Teams. Both will open the season on Saturday, October 24 at Lambton and play their home opener a week later on October 31 against Sault.

The Men's Team won the Programs sixth National Championship in 2014/15, taking out Canada's first, second and fifth seeded teams in the process. They will be returning the majority of a roster that was Ontario's stingiest defensive outfit, had the provinces strongest rebounding margin, and were tops in both blocks and assists per game. The Hawks also captured an OCAA Silver Medal, had Tyrone Dickson named Western Division Defensive Player and Head Coach Shawn Collins take OCAA Coach of the Year.

The Women's Team won the Provincial Title in 2014/15, with Championship All-Stars Ceejay Nofuente and Atissa Cronk and MVP Mary Asare leading the way. Humber went 17-1 during the regular season and had a trio of OCAA All-Stars, two Ontario Academic All-Stars and a CCAA Academic All-Canadian. They will be looking to repeat as OCAA Champions for the first time since the 2001/02 season.
