WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OFF TO VANCOUVER FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Women's Basketball Team is headed to Vancouver Island University this week for the CCAA National Championship on the heels of the Programs first Provincial Title in a decade.

The Hawks took out Ontario's best at Centennial, defeating 15-1 Algonquin in the Semi-Final before beating 16-2 Mohawk in the Championship.  Leading the way for the Hawks was Mary Asare, who was named Tournament MVP, and the duo of Atissa Cronk and Ceejay Nofuente, both of whom were named Tournament All-Stars. Asare's perimeter defense consistently stifled the opposition's top scorers, while Cronk went for a pair and own the paint throughout the weekend.

Humber has combined an offense and defense that both rank in the Ontario's top-five to form the provinces most well-rounded team. The Hawks rank at or near the top most major statistical categories on both ends of the court.
